Position Overview

The Vice President of Manufacturing plays a significant role on the senior leadership team and is in charge of directing and managing all manufacturing activities. They develop and implement manufacturing strategies that are in line with corporate objectives as a strategic leader to achieve operational excellence, increase productivity, and foster business expansion.

The Vice President’s responsibilities include overseeing production operations so that the manufacturing process runs smoothly, efficiently, and on budget. Their role involves correspondence with external and internal parties, as they may also need to negotiate with suppliers and OEM partners to get components and raw materials that fit within the business’ fund allocation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive manufacturing strategy aligned with business objectives for a competitive edge.
• Oversee processes, capacity planning, and resource allocation for maximum efficiency and cost reduction.
• Establish and maintain strict quality control measures, meeting industry and customer standards.
• Collaborate with supply chain teams for a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.
• Foster a culture of improvement by implementing lean principles for streamlined processes.
• Manage manufacturing budgets to achieve financial targets.
• Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to regulations and standards.
• Attract, retain, and develop a high-performing manufacturing team.
• Implement new technologies for enhanced capabilities.
• Provide data-driven reports to guide decision-making.
• Collaborate with other departments for seamless coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in successful manufacturing leadership roles.
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and supply chain management.
• Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills using data analysis.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and achieve operational targets.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and compliance.
• Visionary mindset for innovative solutions.
