Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic Vice President of Engineering to lead our team of seven skilled professionals, including experts in controls and mechanical engineering. In this role, you’ll drive our technical vision and align engineering strategies with our overall business goals.

Responsibilities include managing the transfer of our technology from the Naperville facility to international operations in China and India, ensuring the quality and innovation standards are upheld across regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Inspire and manage a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation, technical excellence, and professional development.
  • Technology Transfer: Oversee and coordinate the transfer of technology from our main facility to global locations, managing design, documentation, and training to ensure seamless integration.
  • Project Management: Lead major engineering projects from concept through to execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion lean manufacturing principles and innovative solutions that enhance product performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Customer Engagement: Act as the technical liaison with key customers, working closely with partners to understand their requirements and ensure engineering solutions meet their expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline); a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years of engineering management experience with a strong background in leading teams within a manufacturing setting.
  • Proven experience in technology transfer, ideally in an international context.
  • Solid understanding of controls and mechanical engineering principles.
  • Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
