Job Overview
The Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for overseeing the entire food and beverage division, including restaurant outlets, bars, in-room dining, catering and banqueting. This key role ensures the highest quality of service and presentation, while driving profitability and creating memorable guest experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, a deep understanding of luxury service and the creativity to continually innovate and enhance our F&B offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and inspire all F&B teams, including chefs, service staff, and banquet teams, ensuring a cohesive and high-performance operation
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives to improve guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and revenue growth across all outlets
- Ensure F&B concepts align with the hotel's brand identity and create a unique, luxurious guest experience
- Oversee menu development in collaboration with the Executive Chef, ensuring culinary excellence and innovation that reflects local culture and trends
- Monitor and manage F&B budgets, including cost control, labor, and forecasting, while maximizing profitability
- Maintain exceptional standards of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation in all areas of F&B operations
- Build and nurture relationships with local suppliers, curating exceptional offerings from regional producers
- Drive staff training programs that focus on service excellence, food and wine knowledge, and team development
- Work closely with the sales and marketing team to create promotional events and packages that drive F&B sales
- Maintain close relationships with VIP guests and the local community, promoting the hotel’s F&B outlets as a destination for both guests and locals
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, culinary arts, or a related field is preferred
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in F&B management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant
- Proven ability to lead and motivate large teams, driving both individual and collective success
- Strong business acumen with the ability to manage financial performance and deliver profitable results
- Excellent communication, organizational, and guest service skills
- A passion for food, beverage, and hospitality, with the creativity to develop unique dining experiences
- Knowledge of current culinary trends, local and international, and the ability to translate them into successful concepts
- Hands-on leadership approach, with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement
