Opportunity available for a Program Manager. In this role you will be responsible for the definition of all platforms, management of active portfolio, delivery of projects, project management improvement program, and all related support tools and approaches. Qualified candidate must be local to the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Candidate must be open for onsite work (hybrid) 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of project management processes, methods, tools, guidelines, and standards to establish a stable, repeatable, and measurable framework to improve the probability of successful project delivery
  • Oversee enterprise-level projects, ensuring projects are implemented in alignment with strategic and departmental goals
  • Develop and continuously assess and improve methodology, processes, and governance to optimize PMO maturity
  • Develop and implement project management best practices & standards for ensuring repeatable and measurable outcomes, including certifications and qualifications for Program/Project Managers, success measurement criteria, methodologies, and tools
  • Set key performance goals and monitor performance indicators, while continually seeking to improve project transparency and efficiency
  • Provide organizational risk mitigation through comprehensive project risk assessment and planning techniques and implementation of best practices
  • Drive effective collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders across all functional business areas
  • Interface with senior leaders to define project priorities and implementation opportunities and challenges, as well as keep them up to date with project risks, dependencies, and opportunities
  • Support the prioritization of projects based on strategic objectives, changing functional needs, resource capacity constraints, risk exposure, and interdependencies
  • Monitor compliance with policies and standards

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies and tools
  • Strong project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple complex projects
  • Effective team leadership & development abilities to mentor, coach and transfer knowledge and expertise to others
  • Effective group facilitation skills to lead large meetings, briefings, and strategic planning discussions
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships
  • Effective conflict resolution and problem resolution skills
  • Expert-level knowledge of project and change management and associated methodologies, techniques, processes, and approaches
  • Budget, cost, and profitability management skills
  • Effective negotiation skills
  • Ten years of project management experience demonstrating progression of increased responsibilities
  • Seven years of leadership experience, including leading a team of project managers and the PMO function, facilitating senior management business and project meetings, and preparing and delivering briefings to executive leadership
  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, Information Technology, or related field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
