Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in managing construction projects over $50 million

Key Responsibilities:

Program Management & Operational Excellence:

  • Ensure compliance and operational excellence in areas such as contract review, estimating, business unit turnover coordination, risk management, and performance
  • Support project bidding processes, including reviewing bid requirements, assisting with team assignments, reviewing scope coverage, contributing to bid schedule development, and creating general conditions budgets
  • Participate in successful project buyout
  • Ensure ongoing safety on job sites, analyze accident trends, and implement corrective actions to maintain safety, quality, profitability, and timely project completion
  • Regularly visit project sites to stay informed on construction activities
  • Provide feedback to Estimating/Pre-Construction for use in future bids or negotiations
  • Engage in all legal matters as needed
  • Maintain regular worksite attendance
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Talent Development & Management:

  • Participate in the recruitment, training, review, and supervision of project personnel; contribute to the selection, training, and development of key positions
  • Foster learning and development partnerships with team members to support career growth
  • Assist in the creation of cross-functional teams and project plans that promote a solution-oriented environment
  • Conduct crucial conversations regarding employee performance and development
  • Motivate and support the team to achieve higher levels of performance, deliver exceptional results, and uphold company values

Business Development & Account Management:

  • Maintain and expand existing client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for new and existing accounts
  • Collaborate with Business Unit Leaders and Business Development Managers to identify new account and project opportunities by market sector and geography; contribute to the development of Account Plans
  • Participate in business development activities, including proposal and presentation development; work closely with the Business Development Manager and Marketing team to craft appropriate narratives and review deliverables
  • Regularly engage in networking and industry/client events; participate in client entertainment activities as appropriate
  • Review and manage assigned project development plans and budgets
  • Work closely with the Business Unit Leader to ensure compliance with process management and corporate policies
  • Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to create Individual Project Pursuit Plans
  • Actively promote and maintain a “sales culture” within the organization on a daily basis
