Looking for a highly motivated self-starter, Data Center General Manager to oversee the day-to-day responsibilities of the asset. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service and communication skills and be able to multi-task and prioritize as new issues arise.

This position is located in Milwaukee, WI. This is not a remote position

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain vendor contracts and supervision for mission critical facility, retail and office tenants

  • Project management

  • Customer/tenant interactions and complaints

  • Ensuring rent is paid and following up on past dues

  • Approving invoices for payment

  • Collaborate with the sales team on available space for office and colo

  • Provide customer tours upon request

  • Financial management; monthly AR reviews, quarterly GL reviews, budget assistance, reconciliation assistance

  • Work collaboratively with the entire team

JOB DESCRIPTION - General Manager

The company owns and operates network-neutral meet me rooms and data centers providing a mix of powered shell, retail and wholesale data center solutions driven by fiber-dense, network-rich interconnection environments.

We’re currently in need of an experienced and ambitious Data Center General Manager at our Milwaukee, WI location. The purpose of the General Manager position is to lead the day-to-day functions of the property management department and the functions of the operations team at the property. The focus of the job is to lead the team, as it pertains to property. The General Manager is the liaison between the tenants/customers of the Meet Me Room, base building maintenance, and tenant-related issues at the property.

This position will lead the onsite operations for Meet Me Room and base building/office operations. The GM will assist in optimizing base building and operations services by helping to optimize MMR operations and procedures; augmenting filing systems; optimizing and monitoring clerical functions.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Building responsibilities:

  • Assist in supporting day to day tenant administrative requests

  • Drafting memos and/or making phone calls to tenants related to lease issues and preventative maintenance scheduling

  • Assist with the coordination of the Security Team

  • Support tenant billing adjustment processing

  • Schedule freight elevator and loading dock access

  • Coordinate coverage for after-hours loading dock requests

  • Coordinate after-hours tenant requests for building services

  • Assist the Sales, Accounting and Marketing teams in providing information, in response to general building information requests

  • Verify the accuracy of invoices received; that purchase orders are attached and invoices are coded correctly, according to company procedures

  • Access computerized financial information to resolve vendor and payment disputes

  • Assist with the coordination of the Security Team

  • Perform building and MMR system/cleanliness walkthroughs, create punch lists

  • Tracking of PM contracts and maintenance schedule

  • Vendor maintenance supervision

  • Vendor construction supervision

  • Update customer access lists

  • Track Certificates of Insurance

  • Coordination of onsite vendors

  • Assist in developing and tracking budgets

  • Assist with the coordination of the building security and access control systems

  • Coordinate access card generation and access system control administration

  • Processing of PM Field Service Reports, inclusive of follow-up item execution

  • Scheduling and tracking of maintenance activities

  • Manage and control storage areas

  • Issuing keys to technicians/vendors, keeping logs of who has keys and ensuring return of said keys

  • Maintain revolving office/base building equipment inventory

  • Procurement of Meet Me Room equipment and materials

  • Schedule parcel transportation and customer concierge services

  • Track customer Meet Me Room shipments, storage, and billable activity

  • Assist with after-hours tenant requests for building services

  • Assist with occasional after-hours vendor build supervision

  • Obtaining bids for snow removal, landscaping, rubbish & maintenance/repairs
