Engineering Project Manager

Location: Preferably in Houston or Miami - Hybrid/Remote

Position Summary:

Kelly Engineering has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Project Manager to work with an innovative company to help manage projects from design to conception. As the Engineering Project Manager, you will be the face of the company interacting with both internal and external clients. You will be an integral part in ensuring clients receive quality outcomes- from conceptual and design phases to the regulatory review process, bidding, construction, and all the way through, ensuring the company’s policies are being followed. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in managing construction and/or hydraulic projects with a hands-on approach.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect on-site the operation and maintenance of each of the projects according to the frequencies established on each contract.
  • Remotely monitor the general operation of the projects and raise the necessary alerts to correct any anomalies on time.
  • Generate periodic reports of project status, propose improvement plans to customers, and follow up on said improvement plans.
  • Maintain consistent communication with contractors and subcontractors
  • Train the staff on the correct use of the company’s technology to achieve high standards of operation and maintenance.
  • Conduct the operational systems verification during the project commissioning process, before its start-up, to make sure there are no issues at the beginning of its operation.
  • Conduct all the administrative procedures needed for purchases and shipping
  • Generate the initial draft and assist in the preparation and control of the operational budget of the projects in area of influence.
  • Verify that all projects, initiatives, and processes comply with company-established objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish both written and spoken is required
  • Ability to travel up to 5 times per project
  • Ability to manage and prioritize projects
