Job Overview

The Data Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the accurate collection, entry, storage, and management of data across various departments. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with various data management systems. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining data integrity and ensuring the data is accessible for analysis, reporting, and operational purposes. This will start off as a 3 month contract with the potential to go longer.

Hourly Pay: $20/hr

Location: Southeast Houston, TX (on-site)

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Data Collection & Management:

  • Collect, organize, and enter data from various sources (e.g., surveys, forms, reports, database).
  • Ensure data is complete, accurate, and processed according to organizational standards.
  • Maintain and update databases, ensuring that all data entries are correct and up to date.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of data collection processes and systems.

2. Data Quality Control:

  • Conduct regular checks to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the data.
  • Identify and resolve any discrepancies, errors, or inconsistencies in the data.
  • Perform data validation and cleansing to ensure data is ready for use in analysis or reporting.

3. Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Generate regular data reports as requested by management or specific departments.
  • Compile data and present it in a user-friendly format for analysis and decision-making.
  • Work with other teams to interpret data for business intelligence and performance monitoring.

4. Documentation and Record Keeping:

  • Maintain detailed records of all data-related processes, procedures, and changes.
  • Document data sources, formats, and structures to ensure proper reference and compliance.
  • Ensure that data privacy and confidentiality standards are followed in all data-related activities.

5. Collaboration with Other Teams:

  • Collaborate with different departments (e.g., marketing, finance, research, HR) to understand data needs and ensure data availability.
  • Assist teams in analyzing data, interpreting results, and drawing conclusions.
  • Provide support for ad-hoc data requests or projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Attention to Detail: Strong focus on data accuracy and consistency.

Organization: Ability to manage large volumes of data and ensure proper filing and documentation.

Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with team members and present data clearly.

Problem-Solving: Ability to identify data issues and troubleshoot discrepancies.

Technical Proficiency: Experience with data management software (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, etc.

Data Entry: High proficiency in data entry with minimal errors.

Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze data trends and generate reports or insights for business operations.
