Position: Senior Project Manager (SAP GL Implementation)

Location: Chattanooga, TN (REMOTE)

Summary:

• The Senior Project Manager for SAP General Ledger (GL) Implementation/Upgrade will lead the end-to-end SAP GL upgrade project
• The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing project planning, scope, scheduling, resource allocation, and budget adherence
• The Senior Project Manager will work closely with Finance, IT, and cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless transition, including data migration, system integration, testing, and end-user training
• This role demands an understanding of SAP Financials, utility industry compliance, and project management best practices
• This position is Remote, with occasional travel to Chattanooga, TN

Responsibilities:

• Define project goals, deliverables, and milestones for SAP GL Implementation
• Develop comprehensive project plans with timelines, resources, and budget estimates
• Coordinate across departments, including Finance, IT, and Operations, to align on project requirements
• Manage risks and issues, ensuring corrective actions for timely resolution
• Facilitate Testing phases, User Acceptance, and Data Migration processes
• Oversee training programs for end-users to ensure smooth adoption
• Ensure project completion on schedule, within scope, and budget

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of Project Management experience in SAP Implementation, preferably in the Utility sector
• Expertise in SAP Financials, GL processes, and ERP systems
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with managing projects according to Agile/Waterfall methodologies
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, IT, Business, or a related field is preferred; equivalent real-world work experience will be considered
• PMP/CSM/SAP Certifications are preferred
• Military experience is a plus
