Chief Financial Officer

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join a high-growth clean energy scale-up committed to accelerating the global transition to renewable energy.
As CFO, you’ll be at the forefront of financial leadership, responsible for guiding the company’s financial strategy, securing funding, and driving efficiency to ensure sustainable expansion. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role involves strategic oversight of financial planning, capital management, investor relations, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Financial Leadership
- Develop and implement financial strategies that support the company’s rapid growth and long-term goals. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and transparency with stakeholders.
- Capital Fundraising
- Lead the company's fundraising efforts, managing debt and equity financing to fuel expansion. Build and maintain relationships with banks, investors, and financial partners, and effectively communicate the company’s mission and growth potential.
- Operational Efficiency
- Identify opportunities for financial optimization, cost reduction, and streamlined processes to support the company's growth while maximizing resources.
- Risk Management & Compliance
- Establish robust risk management and compliance frameworks to ensure adherence to industry regulations and standards. Manage audits and maintain compliance with financial reporting requirements.
- Leadership & Development
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture.
- Investor Relations
- Serve as the primary liaison to investors, preparing reports, financial presentations, and updates to keep them informed of the company’s progress and vision.
Minimum Requirements:
- Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; an MBA or relevant master’s degree is preferred. CPA, CFA, or similar credentials are a plus.
- Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including at least 5 years as a CFO, or comparable experience as a senior finance executive (VP of Finance, Controller, etc.) within a fast-growing company, ideally within the renewable energy, technology, or infrastructure sectors.
- Fundraising Expertise
- Demonstrated success in capital fundraising, including debt and equity financing, and a proven track record in investor relations.
- Operational Skills
- Experience implementing financial controls and processes within a high-growth environment.
- Proven Leadership
- Strong track record of team development and cross-functional collaboration.
- Technical Proficiency
- Proven experience as a CFO with strategic financial management skills; expertise in financial analysis, risk management, and compliance, ideally within the clean energy or project-based industries.
