Summary

We are seeking an experienced Building Automation Service Technician for a role in San Diego, CA. This position focuses on servicing and maintaining building automation systems (BAS) for commercial HVAC equipment. The ideal candidate will have a local presence, a stable work history, and at least three years of hands-on experience working with building automation controls in commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot, and maintain building automation systems (BAS), focusing on commercial HVAC controls.
• Diagnose issues and repair BACnet, DDC controls, and systems such as ALC, Alerton, Tridium Niagara, and Distech
• Perform routine maintenance and system upgrades to ensure optimal system performance.
• Collaborate with clients to provide technical support, explain system functionality, and recommend improvements.
• Work closely with other technicians and engineers to optimize the performance of integrated building systems.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience building automation controls, specifically with commercial HVAC systems.
• Expertise in BACnet, DDC controls, ALC, Alerton, Tridium Niagara, and Distech systems.
• Strong understanding of HVAC equipment and related BAS integration.
• Proven local and stable work history in building automation or a related field.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and control schematics.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality service.
