Summary
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Controls Lead Technician/Programmer based in Portland, OR, with a stable work history and a deep knowledge of building automation systems (BAS). This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality service and programming for HVAC systems in commercial buildings. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience building automation control services, focusing on BACnet, DDC controls, and systems like ALC, Alerton, Tridium Niagara, and Distech.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead installation, programming, and troubleshooting of building automation systems (BAS), particularly HVAC controls in commercial environments.
- Develop, modify, and maintain control systems using BACnet, Tridium Niagara, and DDC controls to ensure efficient building operations.
- Provide expert technical support and resolve complex system issues related to HVAC, plumbing, and other building mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with project teams to deliver projects on time and ensure all control systems align with design specifications.
- Maintain detailed control sequences, system configurations, and service reports documentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of experience in building automation controls service, with a strong emphasis on HVAC systems in commercial buildings.
- Proficiency in BACnet, DDC controls, ALC, Alerton, Tridium Niagara, Distech, and other building automation technologies.
- Strong programming skills for HVAC and mechanical systems, with the ability to modify and optimize control strategies.
- Local and stable work history demonstrating reliability and commitment to previous roles.
- Familiarity with MS Project, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Revit for documentation and project coordination.
