Paralegal

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing essential support in managing probate cases, assisting attorneys with document preparation, and ensuring compliance with legal procedures. This role requires strong organizational skills and a compassionate approach to client interactions.
Responsibilities
•Assist in the preparation, filing, and management of probate documents, including petitions, inventories, and accountings.
•Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for probate cases.
•Draft correspondence and legal documents related to estate planning and administration.
•Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all documentation is complete and up-to-date.
•Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, and external parties to provide updates and gather necessary information.
•Schedule court dates and manage deadlines for filings and hearings.
•Monitor and maintain the probate calendar for timely compliance with court requirements.
•Support the administration of estates, including asset management and distribution tasks.
•Stay informed about changes in probate laws and procedures to ensure compliance.
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate from an accredited program.
•Minimum of 1 year of experience as a paralegal in probate or estate planning.
•Strong knowledge of probate law and relevant legal terminology.
•Proficiency in legal research and document management software.
•Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
•Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
•Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and empathy.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
•Proficiency in the use of the Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS)
•Ability to work with clients and outside tax and real estate partners.
