Senior Data Analyst

Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer in the Minneapolis, MN area! This is a remote role but candidate can not sit in NY, VT, or CA.

Location: Remote (client is based in Minneapolis, MN)

Role Type: 6 months contract to hire

Rate: $55-$65/hr W2 (conversion salary is $120k-$130k/year)

Description: Open to candidates who have worked in AWS or Azure but need to be open to work in GCP.

• Design and build data analytic solutions from concept to implementation in an agile environment.
• Participate in the full systems development lifecycle, including providing estimates, gathering reporting requirements, profiling data, establishing designs, building queries and front-end designs, performing code reviews, quality assurance, and deploying solutions.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure backend data structures and semantic layer are designed properly and fit-for-purpose.
• Ensure overall reporting solution quality, reliability, and performance.
• Provide operational support and maintenance on reporting solutions, including incident management and troubleshooting for issue resolution.
• Support upgrades, configuration and troubleshooting for BI tools.
• Develop and maintain up-to-date documentation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a data analyst role. related, progressive roles
• Strong skills in both Python and SQL
• Need to have strong Tableau experience for data visualization. (LOOKER is a plus)
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and statistical methods.
• Knowledge and fluency with relevant programming languages like Python or R
• Experience creating intuitive user interfaces for decision support.
• Hands-on experience in full systems development lifecycle for reporting and BI solutions
