Akkodis is seeking for a EDA CAD Engineer position with a client located in Phoenix, AZ (Remote)
Title: EDA CAD Engineer
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Remote)
Pay Range: $76-86/hr. (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)
Job Description:
Electronic Design Automation - Design Integrated Circuits (IC) that power everyday electronic devices. Design custom or semi-custom silicon used on electronic devices, cloud infrastructure, machine learning, and AI computational platforms. Work across the entire silicon design lifecycle, including system architecture, design verification, RTL digital design, physical design, design for test (DFT), and Emulation.
An experienced CAD/Automation Engineer with experience in digital ASIC design and verification and will develop IP packaging and qualification flow for internal use and external delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Scripting and automation of design database qualification and packaging
- Integration of silicon foundry libraries & technology data, including 4nm, for SOC implementation, verification & packaging
- Creation of IP packaging flow of design and verification components
- Checks, validation & qualification of IP package consistency
- Propagation of IP implementation flow requirements with internal IP teams
- Support and maintenance of qualification tools and scripts (lint, CDC, sim)
- Running of stand-alone IP testbench for qualification
- Initial debug of failures and issues and work w/ IP teams for resolution
- Maintaining package and release timelines for various projects
- Working with cross functional teams (DV/Arch/Design/FW) to ensure quality and completeness of release collateral
Here’s what you need:
A minimum of five years of experience with ASIC Design (RTL2GDS), CAD Automation and RTL Design Verification
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (12 years) work experience (If an Associate’s Degree with 6 years of work experience)
Bonus points if:
- Experience with development of fully automated flows
- Strong Python & TCL scripting skills
- Strong Unix, Shell, Makefile skills
- Knowledge of ASIC design flow & automation, testbench integration
- Familiarity with EDA vendors (e.g. Synopsys/Cadence) reference methodology
- Knowledge of low level HW/SW interaction and debug
- Experience with RTL & Gate Level Simulations
- Experience with power analysis methodology
