The Advanced Equipment Systems Division (AES) is a focused group within the larger Air Liquide Electronics (ALE) organization that specializes in providing chemical and specialty gas management equipment solutions. Team members are chemical and mechanical engineers, electrical and controls engineers, programmers, manufacturing technicians and field service engineers. The core expertise of this team includes everything related to the delivery of process molecules: equipment design, material compatibility, safety requirements, component selection, controls design and integration, flow and pressure optimization, installation and start-up, and turnkey project management.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
The Project Services Engineering Manager will manage the AES project engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Plans, organizes, leads and trains the engineering team (mechanical, controls, and electrical) to meet company objectives, best practices, quality initiatives and process improvements.
- Effective team management, including managing complex projects, driving down project development and support costs, directing the activities of others, managing subordinates including employee development and periodic reviews, standardizing and improving product development processes, tracking performance metrics, and delivering to the quality expectation of our customers.
- Manages key processes related to engineering, including engineering documentation and revision control, labor and material cost estimating, project tracking and reporting and team capacity planning.
- Ownership of overall technical development of engineering capabilities to provide robust performance of AES equipment and controls systems.
- Develops and takes ownership of engineering documents and tools. Includes equipment electrical and mechanical bills of materials, electrical schematics, P&IDs, software configurations, ECOs, SCO’s, engineering quality and efficiency tracking tools, resource planning tools, project scoping documents, labor tracking tools.
- Works with production and materials management teams to identify, improve, and develop methods, standards, requirements, and procedures consistent with the project goals for manufacturing quality and project costs.
- Works with all disciplines on project teams to develop, maintain, and meet schedules and project deliverables. Includes participation in design and safety reviews, status updates and process documentation as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned or as necessary to meet the needs of internal and external customers.

Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in an Engineering discipline
- 7+ years of related industrial experience
- Knowledge of automated equipment design and manufacturing
- The ability to prioritize and manage multiple, complex tasks
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to lead a team
- General knowledge of customer applications relevant to assigned projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and Google Apps
- Previous team leadership experience
The Salary rate range for this position in Minnesota is $115,000.00 to $130,000.00
