About the Role:

This role requires hands-on, onsite presence to ensure the smooth and safe commissioning of SCADA systems, focused on monitoring and optimizing pipeline control for liquids.

About the Candidate

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in SCADA systems, with a focus on acceptance testing and commissioning. Expertise with OASyS (AVEVA Enterprise) SCADA and liquids pipeline systems is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Relevant certifications in SCADA or pipeline control systems are an asset.
  • Proficiency in SCADA programming, configuration, and troubleshooting; knowledge of pipeline control protocols for liquids; familiarity with data analysis tools.
  • Ability to work on-site, with flexibility for extended hours or shifts as needed to complete commissioning projects.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and oversee acceptance testing and commissioning for OASyS (AVEVA Enterprise) SCADA systems on-site, ensuring compliance with performance standards and operational requirements.
  • Monitor SCADA systems in real-time to ensure accuracy, reliability, and efficiency in pipeline operations. Adjust configurations and troubleshoot to optimize performance.
  • Analyze SCADA data to provide actionable insights and generate reports for system performance, trends, and potential improvements.
  • Configure SCADA components, troubleshoot issues, and work closely with control engineers to implement changes, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Ensure all SCADA operations meet regulatory, environmental, and safety standards for the transport and storage of liquids.
  • Work closely with engineering, operations, and field teams. Document processes, configurations, and system modifications as part of change management and compliance practices.
