Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Designer to join our team. As a Plumbing Designer, you will develop the ability to produce plumbing system designs for High Rise Mixed-use Buildings, Resorts, Hotels, Multi-Family, Entertainment and more while assisting the project engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop plumbing system designs under the guidance of the project engineer.
  • Understand plumbing theory, calculations, and system components.
  • Implement inputs and directions from the project engineer effectively.
  • Utilize software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Excel for project designs.
  • Familiarize yourself with codes, standards, and best practices in plumbing design and apply them appropriately.
  • Draft domestic water, sanitary, storm, natural gas, propane, grease waste, riser diagrams, and schedules.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and fire protection systems for integrated designs.
  • Apply general engineering principles for problem-solving and technical expertise development.
  • Understand the components of the mechanical, electrical and fire protection systems that will impact the design and be able to coordinate those discipline requirements into the plumbing design.
  • Demonstrate growth potential for assuming more responsibility.
  • Take personal ownership of assigned work.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of relevant technical experience (required), vocation school, military training or college degree.
  • Experience working in a professional A/E office, Consulting Firm, Construction Contractor, or equivalent.
  • Experience in plumbing system design and drafting.
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, word processing/spreadsheet and other basic software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
