Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Director, Financial Modelling to join our finance team. This position will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and enhancing complex financial models that support key decision-making processes across the organization. This role requires strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis, with an ability to provide actionable insights for senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Build and Maintain Financial Models:

  • Develop dynamic financial models to evaluate business performance, strategic initiatives, and potential investments.
  • Create models to forecast financial outcomes, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flows, and budgets.
  • Continuously update and refine models based on changing business environments and assumptions.

Data Analysis & Interpretation:

  • Analyze historical financial data and trends to assist in forecasting and planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather inputs and assumptions for financial modeling.
  • Provide scenario and sensitivity analyses to assess risks and opportunities.

Support Strategic Decision-Making:

  • Support business units by modeling the financial impacts of strategic decisions such as acquisitions, new product launches, and capital expenditures.
  • Provide insights into financial performance and recommend actions to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Present financial analysis and reports to senior leadership to guide decision-making.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Assist in the preparation and consolidation of the company’s annual budget and long-term financial plans.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasting processes.

Risk Management & Sensitivity Analysis:

  • Conduct risk assessments and stress testing through sensitivity analysis to help identify key financial risks and potential mitigations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s or MBA is a plus).
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial modeling, forecasting, or a related financial analysis role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the ability to build complex financial models from scratch (knowledge of macros and VBA is a plus).
  • Experience with financial software such as Bloomberg, SAP, Oracle, or Hyperion.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Solid understanding of financial statements, corporate finance concepts, and accounting principles.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in financial modeling for mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital markets, or corporate finance.
  • Knowledge of SQL or other database management systems.
  • Experience creating strategic presentations along with automation/graphics tools proficiency.
  • Ability to synthetize a business problem in a sophisticated model and present findings and analyses in the form of a presentation.
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of industry-specific financial metrics and KPIs.
  • CFA or other relevant financial certifications are a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • This position requires the physical capabilities to work in an office environment, which may include prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.   • This position is required to work onsite 4 days per week.
