Lead Network Security Engineer

Client: A major global financial services network enabling advances in the payments ecosystem by leveraging technologies to create a stronger digital economy. Annual gross revenue earnings at $25B and employ over 30,000.

Overview:

Seeking a Lead Network Engineer who will be responsible for the design, architecture, implementation, security and support of large multi-site, multi-vendor network communication environments.

Role:

  • Manage network projects.
  • Develop detailed requirements for upgrading existing corporate and Client networks, as well as re-architecting network segments in order to facilitate new requirements, technologies and growth.
  • Resolve network communications and operations problems impacting customer or backbone access and performance globally.
  • Participate in telecommunications-related initiatives.
  • Research and develop innovative solutions around unified network solutions.
  • Support assigned regional projects, which include responsibility for planning, time and cost control, resource utilization and implementation.
  • Provide strategic technical direction on highly complex network systems project or activities involving the selection and recommendation of design approach and systems software technology.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to be employed with TechnoSmarts as a W2 employee.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, or Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7 – 10+ years of overall IT experience in networking, LAN/WAN, firewalls, wireless, security and encryption technologies.
  • Strong background in network security.
  • Experience with TCP/IP protocol communications.
  • Knowledge of Cisco’s and Arista product portfolio.
  • Firewall experience with Palo Alto.
  • F5 load balancer experience.
  • Knowledge of network diagnostics, BGP, SNMP, VPN, SSH, MPLS technologies.
  • SASE experience such as Prisma Access or Netscaler is a plus.
  • Citrix experience.
  • Some project management experience.
  • Knowledge of project management methodology and best practices.
