Job Description:

A dynamic and rapidly growing law firm in Miami, FL is seeking an experienced Paralegal/Legal Assistant with a strong background in commercial real estate or corporate real estate to join their team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate, with proficiency in conflict checks, engagement letters, and preparing closing binders. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in all phases of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leases, and financing deals.
  • Conduct conflict checks and assist with the preparation of engagement letters for new clients and matters.
  • Draft, prepare, and organize closing documents and closing binders.
  • Manage and maintain real estate transaction files, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, calls, and deadlines for real estate transactions.
  • Handle the preparation and review of lease agreements, purchase agreements, title documents, and other related contracts.
  • Assist in the review and analysis of due diligence materials, including title reports, surveys, and other documents related to real estate transactions.
  • Liaise with clients, lenders, title companies, and other third parties to ensure smooth transaction processing.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local regulations, as well as firm policies and procedures.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memos as needed to support real estate and corporate transactions.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate or corporate real estate as a paralegal or legal assistant.
  • Strong knowledge of real estate transaction processes, including conflict checks, engagement letters, and closing document preparation.
  • Familiarity with real estate contracts, leases, title documents, and corporate real estate practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and real estate transaction software.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple transactions and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, accurate work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Paralegal certification is a plus, but not required.
