A dynamic and rapidly growing law firm in Miami, FL is seeking an experienced Paralegal/Legal Assistant with a strong background in commercial real estate or corporate real estate to join their team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate, with proficiency in conflict checks, engagement letters, and preparing closing binders. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in all phases of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leases, and financing deals.
- Conduct conflict checks and assist with the preparation of engagement letters for new clients and matters.
- Draft, prepare, and organize closing documents and closing binders.
- Manage and maintain real estate transaction files, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, calls, and deadlines for real estate transactions.
- Handle the preparation and review of lease agreements, purchase agreements, title documents, and other related contracts.
- Assist in the review and analysis of due diligence materials, including title reports, surveys, and other documents related to real estate transactions.
- Liaise with clients, lenders, title companies, and other third parties to ensure smooth transaction processing.
- Ensure compliance with state and local regulations, as well as firm policies and procedures.
- Conduct legal research and prepare memos as needed to support real estate and corporate transactions.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate or corporate real estate as a paralegal or legal assistant.
- Strong knowledge of real estate transaction processes, including conflict checks, engagement letters, and closing document preparation.
- Familiarity with real estate contracts, leases, title documents, and corporate real estate practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and real estate transaction software.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple transactions and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, accurate work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Paralegal certification is a plus, but not required.
