The MBA Geotechnical Office is rapidly growing and is seeking highly skilled, entrepreneur minded, and experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineers for our office in Birmingham, Alabama. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading complex geotechnical engineering projects, providing technical guidance, and managing project teams. This role requires a deep understanding of soil mechanics, foundation design, slope stability, and geotechnical instrumentation.

Qualifications

  •  We are seeking a talented and dynamic individual to provide project management and technical assistance with geotechnical projects.
  •  2+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a demonstrated track record of successful project management
  • Strong technical expertise in soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and slope stability.
  • Knowledge of relevant software and tools used in geotechnical engineering
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven project management skills and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in managing large and complex projects with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage geotechnical investigations and design projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop geotechnical designs, including foundations, retaining structures, slope stabilization, and ground improvement.
  • Perform advanced geotechnical analyses, including stability analysis, liquefaction analysis, and settlement calculations.
  • Prepare technical reports, proposals, and design documentation.
  • Conduct site inspections and assessments, and supervise field testing activities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including structural engineers, environmental scientists, and project managers.
  • Mentor and support junior staff, providing technical guidance and professional development.
  • Manage client relationships, attend project meetings, and present findings and recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and applicable regulations.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field is required.

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or eligibility for licensure is preferred but not mandatory.
