Program Director, Cleveland Central Promise Neighborhood / Building Healthy CommunitiesPOSITION SUMMARY:
The Cleveland Central Promise Neighborhood (CCPN), a program of the Sisters of Charity Health System (the System), is committed to strengthening the families of the Cleveland Central Promise Neighborhood. The program’s work to strengthen Central families is carried out through a collective impact approach that, through partnerships, addresses the needs and wants of whole families to break the cycle of poverty. CCPN serves as the lead convener for this collaborative process consisting of multiple partners including residents, community service providers, large public systems, and funders. The Program Director will lead and manage the Promise and Building Healthy Communities initiatives, staff, partners, and community members. In addition, this position will be responsible for the strategic oversight, implementation, and evaluation of Promise and Building Healthy Communities programming.The Program Director must bring leadership and creativity in the program design and development, coordination, and management of the neighborhood-based strategy, including communication with partners and residents to build and achieve CCPN’s annual work plan and activities. The Program Director will also use their expertise and networks to partner with Health System staff in leveraging local, state, and national funding and strategic partners to support Promise and Building Healthy Communities.POSITION STATUS:

Reports directly to the Health System’s Chief Program OfficerSPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:Nurturing the backbone entity such that The Cleveland Central Promise Neighborhood Initiative is viewed as a highly valuable team helping to make partners and residents successful in improving the health and educational outcomes of the residents.Manage the Promise and Building Healthy Communities team including contractors, and any consultants identified to support the maintenance and strategic advancement of both initiatives.Facilitate routine team meetings to ensure work plans and projects are on track and supporting staff to troubleshoot any hurdles that may evolve.Lead staff to develop and execute work plans that help to advance the vision of the initiative. Ensure that all plans are aligned with the Health System’s strategy and mission.Responsible for engaging with partners, community members, and other stakeholders in concert with the System to develop vision and goals.Ensure all partners, residents, stakeholders are included in shared/collaborative decision-making to achieve desired programmatic outcomes by hosting or facilitating community meetings, roundtables, focus groups, and townhalls as needed.Partnering with the System on all communication efforts and strategy to maintain ongoing and consistent communication with all levels of partners (funders, residents, organizations, etc.).Ensure residents in the community are actively engaged across levels of decision making including but not limited to Safety, Food Sovereignty, Financial wellness, Resilience, etc.Identify and partner with neighborhood engagement programs to support resident leadership, social capital, and resident economic mobility.Works with the Health System Development and External Affairs teams to secure sustained funding streams and support the creation of new projects or programs when needs are identified.Coordinate evaluation efforts to ensure evidence needed to demonstrate growth towards initiative outcomes is captured, including development of internal and external outcome frameworks, assessment of internal and external data needs, and translation and use of data collected through data partners.Programmatic Project List by area of Promise PipelineThese services are in flux, so the Program Director will be tasked with redefining and realigning the work in collaboration with the Chief Program Officer and in strategic alignment with the 2025 Strategies Plan of the System. Below are examples of the previous and current work.Early Childhood AreaWork with Early Childhood navigator to ensure proper execution of strategy is implemented. Identify early learning partners and work with them to provide professional development and training with Starting Point to ensure that the early learning navigator is knowledgeable in the concept and use of the 5 Protective factors as it relates to the 2Gen Whole family, Family Partners Project.Student transitions, success and post-secondary pathways: Build and sustain partnerships with educational partners to advance the academic outcomes of the Promise initiative.Partner with educational partners to serve as a thought leader and partner to advance the use of 2-Gen Whole family approaches to improve academic outcomes of residents in the Promise footprint.Continued work with College Now to provide support, education and resources to students based on their identified post-secondary pathway.Family PartnersManage and oversee family partners project newly designed two generation whole family project with SPARK population with Family Connections and Ohio Guidestone.Lead site visit and activities associated with a successful O’Neill site visit. Opportunity to provide program design and content for the next O’Neill grant with two generation whole family focus.Develop and maintain Family Partners Parent Advisory Committee.Provide oversight and leadership (including but not limited to creation of agenda, ongoing maintenance of dashboard and management of partners) to the two working committees of Family Partners

Community EngagementInstitutionalize a plan for best practices of community engagement that enhances resident voice, engagement and develop a strong recruitment program to sustain Promise Ambassador resident leadership program.Evaluate ambassador continuing education program as an incentive for personal development and neighborhood enhancement as residents strive to lead change.Continue development and implementation of Champions of Central Recognition program for residents and partners.Participate in community engagement events that help to share and advance the outcomes of the Promise/ BHC initiative such at the Ward 5 Festival, Back to School Rally, etc.Coordinate partners and issues that emerge regarding economic and social-emotional challenges in Central.Required Qualifications:Ability to understand the Mission & Ministry of the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine and embrace the mission and values.Strong passion and commitment to the mission of working with the underserved.A minimum of five years of experience in non-profit field, either through philanthropy, program development, or program management.Management expertise in the following areas is essential to the success of this position: budgeting, fundraising, understanding communications, evaluating programs, and understanding data systems.Strong management skills are required to ensure effective daily operations and implementation of all programmatic activities with Promise staff and partner agencies.Strong analytical skills, including quantitative assessments and logical, systematic thinking. Able to synthesize material and focus quickly on the essence of an issue and to identify major opportunities in a specific area.Ability to prepare and analyze budgets.Ability to produce high-quality, well-organized, professional work products.Demonstrated capacity to conceptualize, structure, document, and supervise projects/programs.Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments.Experience both leading and as part of a team working collaboratively with a range of colleagues, community-based partners, consultants, and others.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Self-starter who is detail-oriented, well-organized, and enjoys working in a collaborative environment.Ability to interact professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds.Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment and discretion.High standards, integrity, and a sense of humor.Expertise in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).Qualified candidates should submit a cover letter and resume with the online application.
