The Assistant Director of Finance provides fiscal oversight and management, reporting and analysis, policyinterpretation and guidance to department leadership, managers, financial units, faculty and other staff. Theincumbent holds fiduciary responsibility to ensure financial activities adhere to University of California andexternal regulatory policies and guidelines and that cost accounting principles and standards are met. This roleestablishes and maintains internal controls and streamlined business processes. Additionally, the AssistantDirector of Finance works closely with the Senior Director of Finance on planning and execution of departmentalshort- and long-term strategic plans as they relate to finance and/or operations. He/she also functions as a"working" manager providing direct fiscal administration, management and planning for designated departmentoperating funds and activities. This position will also be responsible for supervising the day-to-day activities fortwo (2) Financial Services Analysts who provide direct service to the department finance operations.The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placementwithin the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equitywithin this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement withinthe salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.The salary range for this position is $94,400 - $201,800 (Annual Rate).To learn more about the benefits of working at UCSF, including total compensation, please visit:
