As we work to weave diversity, equity, and inclusion into our work and foster a sense of belonging throughout the company and within our communities, we constantly ask ourselves: What is our impact on the world?Primary ResponsibilitiesIn the role of Area Professional Services Manager, you’ll be a key leader in the Nebraska / Iowa operation, providing leadership and mentoring across our organization. We'll count on you to:Be responsible to the Area Manager to develop, coordinate, monitor and improve technical competencies of area staff and products to meet client needs and market drivers.Lead and monitor development and training of area staff in technical and business competencies.In concert with Area Business Group Managers, oversee workload balancing and coordination of worksharing, to ensure qualified staffing of project teams.Assist with daily operations, such as project oversight, management reviews, financials, and driving profitability at the project level.Lead quality assurance efforts to implement QA/QC Program activities striving for continuous improvement.Support and assist Area Business Development Leads in driving client management plans.Lead and monitor activities for continuous improvement including development and use of technical standards, procedures, best practices and lessons learned.Lead and participate in project reviews and support project teams with management of claims and losses.Lead the Area mentoring initiative.Oversee technical and digital delivery evolution, in collaboration with subject matter experts.Work with AM to streamline and coordinate business processes consistent with Area and corporate policies.Oversee and ensure implementation of quality, standards, and best practices.Be involved in community activities and serve as an outward facing HDR Ambassador.Collaborate with Area operations, market sectors, business classes, and delivery leaders.Participate in Area strategic planning and plan implementation across all business groups.Support area activities related to hiring and retaining key staff.Serve as a champion for BGX opportunities.Support communication and coordination within all business groups.Perform other duties as needed in conjunction with the Area Manager.Required QualificationsBachelors degree in a related field.A minimum 15 years of experience.Maintains professional or engineering registration and has extensive related technical expertise.Experienced in management and development of diverse teams.Works cooperatively with operations managers, technical staff and marketing managers on professional services-related efforts.Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values.An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.What We BelieveHDR is our company.
