[Looking to join a thriving manufacturing team in the production of quality plastic parts? Well look no further because Ruff Land Performance Kennels LLC has an opening in the Purchasing department for a full-time position. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Specialist to manage the procurement of raw materials, contracts, goods, and services essential to our operations. This role is integral in maintaining strong vendor relationships, ensuring timely deliveries, and supporting the development of new products. This position is in Tea, SD. Procurement Management : Oversee the purchasing of raw materials, contracts, and other goods and services.Inventory Control : Monitor inventory levels and initiate orders to maintain optimal stock and prevent shortages.Supplier Relations : Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to secure favorable agreements.Purchase Orders (POs) : Track POs, ensure there are no delays, and obtain order acknowledgments and estimated delivery times (ETAs).Purchasing Standards : Develop and implement purchasing protocols and record-keeping systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy.Vendor Research and Selection : Research and interview potential vendors to assess product quality, pricing, and delivery capabilities.Contract Negotiation : Work closely with suppliers to negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules to ensure optimal agreements.Record Management : Maintain detailed transaction records and submit them to the accounting department for audit purposes.New Product Development Support : Assist with researching and sourcing materials for new product development initiatives.

Strong time management and organizational skills.Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.Proficiency in analytical thinking and reporting.Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain meticulous records.Ability to adapt quickly to changes and handle multiple tasks efficiently.Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management preferred.
[Full-time hoursbetween 8am and 5pm. Competitive starting pay with the possibility of increase depending on experience. $21/hr with the option of an increase after 60 days.
