Our organization is committed to maintaining a positive and engaging workplace for all employees.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThe position of the HR Intern will be responsible for providing administrative support and performing a variety of Human Resources functions. These functions include preparing benefits enrollment packets, new hire orientation packets and other human resources forms, initial phone interviews for recruiting, and performing all other responsibilities as directed. Ensures all records, orientation programs, forms processing, and handling of confidential and time-sensitive documents are kept in line with policy and established practice. Reports to and receives supervision from the Talent & Culture Development Manager and works closely with the HR team.WHAT YOU’LL DORecruiting, Hiring, and Onboarding:

Handle staffing and recruiting requests by posting job ads, reviewing incoming resumes, assisting with interview scheduling, and working with the team to ensure prompt and timely closure of open jobs. Conduct initial phone interviews for recruiting. Assist with onboarding all new employees, including badge preparation and welcome kits.Administrative and Record Management:

Prepare benefits enrollment packets, new hire orientation packets, and other human resources forms. Assist with the maintenance of personnel files for current and terminated employees according to protocol. Work with the HR team to process insurance bills and service invoices, such as background checks and pre-employment physical exams.Customer Service and Team Collaboration:

Provide customer-centric, responsive, and accurate information to internal clients through phone, in-person, and email interactions. Emphasize the importance of building healthy teams and business relationships through empathy, respect, fairness, and adherence to applicable state and federal laws. May serve as a backup to the Front Desk Attendant, assisting with visitors and conference room reservation and/or setup as needed. Perform all other responsibilities as directed and additional duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSCompletion of two years of college courses is required; an Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.1 year in the Human Resources field is preferred, including internship experience. Basic understanding of HR principles and best practices; coursework in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields.Resourceful with strong analytical skills and a creative approach to problem-solving.Ability to work both collaboratively within a team and independently, demonstrating a service-oriented ethic.Strong time-management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable with the ability to handle challenging projects.Excellent interpersonal communication skills, strong emotional intelligence (EQ), and relationship-building abilities.Proficiency in using and gaining knowledge of various computer software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations.Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google suite, and the internet.Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.Experience or interest in project management, including assisting with timelines and deliverables, is a plus.Valid CA Driver’s License and access to a reliable and insured vehicle. Required to travel within Los Angeles County. May be scheduled to work at either facility in Los Angeles, CA, or the City of Industry, CA.
