Our Club staff members are educators, coaches, mentors, community leaders, and ambassadors. And we love what we do.The Teen Specialist plans, supervises and implements a variety of high-yield activities and targeted programs with teenage Club members (ages 13-18) with an academic, character & leadership, and career exploration focus. Teen Specialists implement the following activities and programs: Youth of the Year, Keystone Club, Workforce Development, Financial Literacy and Teen Nights. They also help members make appropriate choices about their education, career, social, physical, and emotional needs. Additionally, Teen Specialists support and guide Peer Leaders and Work-based Learners within their Clubs.What you are good at:
Serving youth (at least one year of direct service). You have a demonstrable record of planning and implementing youth programs.Basic classroom management and the ability to direct youth and provide them with clear steps and tools that support goal achievement.Creative lesson planning. You put the necessary time and work into lesson planning, but also think about the fun things you did as a kid and include those, as well!Thinking on your feet. You like learning new things, and you can learn quickly. When things change - and they will - you go with the flow and are productive.Creating positive and supportive relationships with youth.Extra Awesome Points:
You are a Spanish speaker.You have more than one year of experience working with youth.You have a teaching certificate or background in education.What we offer you:

Minimum of one year working in the youth development field specifically supporting teenage youth.Must be able to pass a drug test that includes screening for marijuana, criminal and driving records investigations, and reference checks.A valid driver's license and ability to be insured under the company's insurance policy.The successful candidate will primarily work indoors. Accordingly, the ability to use a variety of equipment including janitorial and office equipment is required.The job requires the ability to stand for extended periods, kneel, reach, bend, and lift objects weighing in excess of 25 lbs.Outdoor work and moderate physically demanding activities may be required on occasion.The ability to read and write is necessary to complete reports, properly document program, and utilize organizational data.This is a fully in-person position.
