requirement listed in this job description, we still encourage you to apply.ResponsibilitiesActively direct strategy for all indemnity and medical only cases and ensure these claims are aggressively managed and closed in a timely manner.Review all new claims for data integrity, fraud indicators, safety issues, potential lost time or other issues that require further action or management.Recommend approval for surveillance and litigation requests.Select files for quarterly claim reviews with the third-party claim administrator.Interact with injured employees to ensure awareness and understanding of the workers' compensation process and requirementsMonitor and review Third Party Administrator's reserving practices and when warranted recommend changes.Monitor individual claim adjusters' and defense counsels' effectiveness and quality of work.Consistently educate and re-enforce claim procedures with operations and Human Resources. (claim reporting process, late reporting, return to work, safety issues, etc.)Review and analyze WC loss runs and reports; Communicate trends and prevention opportunities.Develop, document and maintain the Workers Compensation processes and procedures.Coordinate distribution of Workers Compensation documentation and postings for all locations.Work with Operations and Human Resources to facilitate return to work for employees with Transitional Return to Work (TRW) releases.Perform special WC projects, as required
CriteriaBachelor's Degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experienceAt least 3-5 years of Workers Compensation claims management experienceThorough knowledge of workers' compensation systemsWillingness to learn new workers compensation jurisdictionsSome knowledge of leave of absence and Human Resource principles, laws, regulations, policies, and proceduresComputer proficiency including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, as well as TPA systemsAbility to adapt in a fast paced, changing environmentExperience with high volume Distribution Centers is a plusMust have sound judgment and the ability to maintain discretion and confidentialityAt least 3-5 years of Worker's Compensation claims management experienceReturn to Work programs experience
