POSITION: Director, Business Intelligence & Data AnalyticsDUTIES:

Responsible for modernizing the company’s use of sell-out data and analysis throughout all relevant processes and decisions by delivering a single source of omni brand and channels business intelligence on sales performance reporting and diagnosis, insights, and applied advanced analytics for problem solving. Enable fact-based performance management measurement, generation of business intelligence and data-driven decision making to achieve North American business results and opportunities. Proactively identify value-add opportunities for omni business performance insights, based on guidance from senior management and on-going, proactive dialogue with cross-functional business users. Define appropriate timelines and cadences of business reporting within company data sharing principles. Develop concrete strategies and project plans for the team to execute business requests. Manage and improve data quality, coverage, timeliness and data governance with Tech and D&A teams for business usage by Market NAM; focused on – but not limited to – sell-out data and related metrics of our categories and channels. Define key metrics and performance indicators with NAM SLT and business stakeholders based on strategic/operational/commercial metrics. Define new reporting structures according to business KPIs and decision path, and drive their implementation, for both regular and adhoc reports. Develop and communicate best practices to business units and other adidas stakeholders to maximize the use of omni reporting and analytics capabilities. Proactively identify value-add opportunities for advanced data analytics across the functions (in collaboration with senior management and cross-functional business users). Report automation using Power BI (and other company tools). Use data visualization to provide data insights. Use statistical analysis for assortment, promotion evaluation, marketing campaign effectiveness, retail program ROI, etc. Identify big data needs and support for rolling out global/local big data use cases. Develop new report/dashboard for key initiatives and projects. Enhance organization’s overall data capabilities and use of data (including supporting the development of additional data sources, analytic capabilities, or IT tools as required). Advise stakeholders on the value and use analytics to define goals, select appropriate KPIs, monitor performance and derive trends and opportunities. Orchestrate consultancy to stakeholders. Ensure that the team provides actionable recommendations and calls for action based on gathered insights. Oversee that gathered insights are translated into engaging, actionable and easy to digest insights presentations. Establish and maintain a strong stakeholder network with high level of trust that facilitates action-ability of insights. Establish a fact-based culture in the organization by defining data driven decision processes. Lead and shape the data strategy of adidas NAM. Work cross-functionally and collaboratively with data providers and report users throughout the organization. Build the appropriate structure to be able to manage the respective organization effectively, identify and develop the future talents and create realistic succession scenarios for key positions. Ensure appropriate leadership skills are present at every level by creating a motivational and supportive work environment in which employees are coached, trained and provided with career opportunities through development. Continuously monitor and evaluate team workload and organizational efficiency with the support of data and team feedback and make appropriate changes in order to meet business needs. Provide team members/direct reports with clear direction and targets that are aligned with business needs and NAM objectives.REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, and ten (10) years of related work experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics or Big Data. Work experience must have included: Four (4) years of work experience in leading a team. Work academic or work experience must have included: Experience with a global consumer goods brand, modern retailer, or analytic consulting; Experience working closely with middle and senior managers across functions; Experience with database, statistical and business intelligence systems, analytics tools and disciplines such as Python, R, SAS, SPSS, MicroStrategy, Tableau, SQL, Google Analytics, or Adobe Analytics; and Experience with project management.JOB SITE: 5055 N.
