Key Responsibilities:
- California Labor Law Expertise: Ensure compliance with state-specific labor regulations, particularly in California.
- Bilingual Communication: Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking employees, providing both written and verbal communication.
- Onboarding: Oversee onboarding processes, with an emphasis on automating and streamlining workflows.
- Expense Management: Manage expenses for managers, ensuring adherence to budgets and accuracy in reporting.
- Background Checks: Conduct background checks in alignment with client requirements and support second-chance employment initiatives.
- HR Operations: Assist with HR functions such as employee relations, compliance, and organizational changes.
- HR System Creation: Lead the development of an HR system for efficient onboarding and management processes.
- Cross-Location Support: Collaborate with teams across multiple locations, including NYC, Florida, and Charlotte.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years of HR experience, specifically with California labor laws.
- Skills:
- Fluency in Spanish and English (verbal and written).
- Experience with onboarding processes and automated HR functions.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage expenses for management and maintain compliance with budgets.
- Experience in second-chance hiring and background check procedures.
- Ability to work independently and implement HR systems from scratch.
- Communication Skills: Ability to engage with diverse employees across multiple locations.
- Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of California labor laws and compliance requirements.
- Organizational Skills: Proficiency in managing workflows, processes, and expenses.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to address HR challenges efficiently and independently.
- Work Environment: Based in Charlotte, NC, with responsibilities for supporting locations in NYC, Florida, and California.
