HR Generalist Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in HR or related field; Bachelor's preferred.
- 2-3 years of HR experience, ideally within the nonprofit sector.
- Proven ability to design and implement effective performance management programs.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Proficiency in HRIS; Ceridian Dayforce = a plus.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) = a plus.
- Knowledge in benefits, recruiting, employee relations, and training.
HR Generalist Responsibilities:
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and onboarding processes.
- Administer employee benefits programs, assist with open enrollment, and answer employee questions regarding benefits.
- Support employee relations efforts, addressing issues, and ensuring consistent policy application.
- Maintain and update employee records, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures aligned with the nonprofit's values and goals.
- Coordinate training sessions and professional development opportunities for staff.
- Support performance management and employee evaluation processes.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
