To Apply for this Job Click HereBeacon Hill's client is seeking an experienced Part-time HR Generalist to lead employee relations, talent management, and administrative functions. This role will focus on fostering a positive culture, enhancing communication, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and best practices.This is a long-term contract position with Wednesday onsite, and the rest of the week's hours are flexible.Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesEmployee Relations
Lead initiatives to cultivate positive employee relations and an engaged workforce.Provide guidance on the application and interpretation of HR policies and practices.Coach leaders in addressing and resolving employee relations issues.Collaborate with leadership on disciplinary actions and employee improvement plans.Conduct impartial investigations into employee complaints and serve as a liaison with outside agencies.Maintain a strong partnership with Legal Counsel.Facilitate resources for employees facing health and safety challenges.Support organizational change through effective communication strategies.Talent Management
Develop and implement recruitment strategies that attract diverse, qualified candidates.Partner with team leaders to recruit for all staff positions.Manage the selection process, including screening, interviewing, and recommending finalists.Oversee onboarding for new employees and develop staff training programs.Administer the annual performance review process and maintain an employee recognition program.Administrative and Facilities Responsibilities
Maintain the employee handbook in accordance with current laws and best practices.Implement a formal complaint response policy.Ensure transparency in the compensation plan and manage employee benefits programs.Maintain secure employee files and oversee payroll processes.Ensure compliance with workplace laws and oversee facilities to meet state requirements.Address employee needs for a productive and safe work environment.Senior Leadership Participation
Interact with the Board of Directors, providing updates on HR projects and activities.Qualifications & Requirements
Strong leadership and influencing skills in a diverse environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficient organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.In-depth knowledge of Federal and Minnesota employment laws.Well-versed in HR best practices and budget management.Ability to build trust and maintain collaborative relationships.Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.3+ years of progressive HR experience preferred.HR certification (SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred.Broad HR generalist background with knowledge of talent acquisition and organizational effectiveness.Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.Experience with HRIS and ATS systems.Preferred experience in the nonprofit sector or similar values-driven culture.Knowledge of job market trends and competitive recruitment practices.
