Managing our organization's donor database, including entry of all gifts, the generation of acknowledgment letters and reconciliation of Development and Finance records to ensure accuracy. Plays a in a lead role in overseeing our direct mail campaign for individual donors as well as a support role in the research, cultivation and stewardship of leadership and major gift donors. Supports special events; including but not limited to, registration support, online giving, auction support and providing assistance to event table captains.Ensures accurate entry and gift coding for all donations (checks, credit cards, stock gifts; workplace giving) for individual and corporate giving, including sponsorships and grantsGenerates and proofreads thank you letters and tax receipt for all gifts within 2 business days, consistent with BGCH gift processing and procedures documentGenerates initial invoice request to Finance department for all pledged sponsorships for special events within 3 business daysConducts monthly reconciliation of development and finance records to ensure alignment and consistent gift coding and provide monthly report to VP of DevelopmentRuns monthly Development Revenue vs Goal Dashboard for budget revenue line itemsProvides ongoing database management and perform annual database reconciliationRuns standard and custom reportsProduces labels, mail merges and pledge remindersProvides database training for BGCH staffPlays lead role, in achieving annual direct mail financial goals through the November and March direct mail campaigns, including crafting the letters and segmenting donor listsDetermines direct mail segmentation strategy and criteria (i.e. gift size, giving history, interest area, etc.) and ensures all salutations, ask amounts, and other custom information within our correspondence is accurateCoordinates all mail processing with BGCH's direct mail vendorConducts donor and grant research and create donor profile reports for Boys & Girls Clubs National Leadership Giving Society prospects ($10,000+) and leadership giving ($1,000 - $9,999) prospectsProvides input on donor strategy, and prospect cultivationRuns Weekly Moves Management report for stewardship outreach (i.e. thank you calls, thank you notes, personal visits, etc.)Assists VP of Development in creating and maintaining standard stewardship calendars for leadership society and major gift donorsAssists Vice President of Development and Special Event Coordinator in planning and executing annual donor cultivation event, including input on invitation lists, overseeing registration and ensuring attendance is tracked in Donor PerfectPlays lead role in providing support to event table captainsAssists Special Event Consultant with event registration and attendeesSupports Special Event Consultant with managing at-event mobile giving and/or text-to-give programsGenerates event-specific thank you letters for all special events and donor engagement eventsOffice, cultivation events, fundraising/special events, representation of BGCH at community events, etc. which may involve a change in schedule and weekend hours.

High school diploma or GEDAt least 3 years of experience in a donor database management and resource developmentComputer proficiency including Micorsoft Office productsProven track record of setting priorities and meeting deadlinesSelf-starter, able to work both independently and collaborativelyStrong project and time management skillsExcellent research skillsStrong attention to detailExperience in a nonprofit or advocacy organization preferredCultural competency; proven ability to communicate with diverse audiencesFlexibility, patience and willingness to learn new skillsKnowledge and experience in Finance and Accounting a plus

Compensation details:

25-30 Hourly Wage
