The HR Generalist is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources office and ensuring the effective implementation of services, policies, and programs. Reports directly to the HR Manager on the following functional areas: staffing (hourly & salary), employee/labor relations, health and welfare, compensation, employee development, Payroll, and performance management. Assists and advises managers and supervisors regarding HR issues with continual emphasis on organizational improvement and high-performance. Responsibilities Staffing, including recruitment of hourly and salaried positions; onboarding, performance review process; leave administration and job posting process. Employee Relations including coordination of employee functions, meetings, celebrations, recognition and service awards, exit interviews. Health and welfare administration including benefits open enrollment. Assists with the planning and administration of HR policies and procedures; maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment. Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems to effect continual improvement in efficiency and services. Maintains Human Resource Information System records and files, including EV5 and Etime. Provides administrative support to the plant. Hourly payroll processing Community relations and employee engagement Qualifications Bachelor's degree in HR Management or related degree Demonstrated working knowledge of FMLA, HIPAA, COBRA and DOL guidelines and familiarity with applicable federal and state laws and benefits administration is required Experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred Payroll experience is preferred, especially with ADP. The successful candidate must maintain the highest level of integrity in the execution of his/her work, including handling matters requiring confidentiality. S/he must have demonstrated initiative, time management, project management, teamwork, and organizational skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) are needed.
