Position Details:Title: Business Analyst IIShift: TBDLocation: 1300 Thames Street Harbor Point Phase I Baltimore MD USA 21230.Hybrid:- 3 days on site (days on site based on business need) and requires flexibility as some weeks could be 5 days on site (i.e. training and onboarding).Pay Rate: $21.34/hrContract Length: 12 months*Contract Extension or Conversion to FTE based on Performance, Attendance and Business Need*

Job DutiesThe Baltimore Asset Services team ensures the timely and accurate, processing and payment of corporate action events for US, Canadian and Latin American markets, including Dividends, Mandatory events, Voluntary Elections, Proxy Votes and Class Actions.Responsibilities:The responsibilities of the Specialist include but are not limited to the following:Validate and understand a full range of simple to complex Mandatory corporate actionsPerform front to back processing of corporate action events, including set up, validation, election, payment and reconciliationExtensive interaction with various departments and Business Units and the Trading Desk e.g. Prime Brokerage and Financial ControllersField high volume of diverse inquiries from various consumers, business units and stakeholders.Interface with external corporate action data providers, counterparties, industry utilities and third party service providers.Scrutinize day to day processes, technology platforms and workflows, and identify and implement opportunities for enhancement and improvementParticipate in system testing and respond to ongoing demands for increased coverage and service.
Qualifications:Temps become our "feeder" pool to permanent positions, most interested in candidates who want to come on board full time if/ when a position opens upLooking for candidates who are analytical, curious, ask questionsThis is not a processing role, in the past we have received a lot of candidates with administrative/ data entry experience / backgroundProfessional experience isn't required, new college graduates, we will assess skills in alternative ways (i.e. internships, teamwork, volunteering, class projects, etc.)Sound judgement and ability to interpret dataProcedures will be given and side by side training but will need someone who is willing to learn independently, asks good questions as the work is complexEducation and Required skills
