JOB TITLE : Manager, Forecasting + Analytics

OVERVIEWThe
Forecasting & Analytics Manager
plays a pivotal role in developing and maintaining channel and SKU level forecasts for select accounts with a key emphasis on forecast accuracy to maximize sales and optimize in-stocks. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented and embraces a fast-paced, often changing environment.
RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop an accurate monthly demand forecast at the category, collection and SKU level, inclusive of core and seasonal products and one-time sales & marketing programsEnsure forecast assumption accuracy through analysis of base business trends, promotional activity, new launch volume, VM & retrofit updates, channel expansion and seasonal volumePartner with Sales, Marketing, and DTC teams to gather inputs and align on retail sales and sell-in plansCollaborate with Ops/Supply Planning to ensure an executable supply plan is developed to meet forecast requirementsWork closely with Ops/Supply Planning to understand known supply constraints or excess inventory risks to communicate with broader sales team and develop allocation plansWork closely with retailer partners to align on demand trends, inventory levels and open-to-buy plansMeasure forecast accuracy with the goal to maximize sales while optimizing inventory levels across retailersOwn new launch forecast for respective accounts to support all marketing and promotional strategiesAnalyze historical sales data and future programming to achieve continuous improvement in demand plan accuracyUpdate and circulate weekly and monthly business performance reports to key stakeholdersParticipate in annual budget and reforecast processMaintain retail sales data integrity through third party platform Additional projects as required
REQUIREMENTS3-5 years forecasting/ demand planning in Beauty or CPG preferredBA/BS or 5 years equivalent relevant experienceAdvanced knowledge of Excel with the aptitude to learn new systems quicklyStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret meaningful trends from dataAbility to build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teamPossess strong problem-solving and critical thinking skillsStrong organizational and time management skills, ability to handle multiple priorities at onceFlexible, team playerMust be based in Los Angeles, CA
