The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in wage and hour laws, class actions, and PAGA compliance. This role involves representing clients in complex litigation, conducting thorough discovery, and managing a diverse caseload while ensuring compliance with relevant laws. The attorney will work collaboratively with clients and colleagues to provide strategic legal advice and develop effective litigation strategies.Key ResponsibilitiesRepresent clients in defense litigation cases with a focus on wage and hour, class actions, and PAGA compliance.Conduct legal research and analysis to support case development and strategy.Prepare legal documents including motions, pleadings, and discovery requests.Manage a caseload of litigation matters, ensuring timely and effective resolution.Engage in oral advocacy in court hearings and depositions.Perform compliance assessments and record analysis for client matters.Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates and gather information.Collaborate with team members to share insights and strategies for case management.Utilize legal technology tools such as Excel and iManage for case organization and management.Participate in Bar association activities to stay current on legal trends and regulations.QualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.California Bar Certified.Minimum of 5 years of experience in defense litigation, with a focus on wage and hour issues, class actions, and PAGA.Strong oral and written communication skills, with proficiency in public speaking.Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload and meet deadlines.Experience in discovery processes and client management.High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Self-starter with the ability to work independently.Familiarity with Coyote Analytics and other legal software preferred.Benefits- 100% Employer Paid Medical/Dental/Vision/Life- 401k- up to 12.5% annual bonus- Billable hour bonus after 1850- 15 days PTO (to start)- Paid Holidays- Paid ParkingFor this position you must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
