This highly reputable general contractor is perceived as a formidable player in the Texas region that has consistently delivered top quality heavy civil operations on behalf of TxDOT.The RoleResponsible to uphold the growth and maintain consistent track record of winning work in the region.Leading the estimating department, where typical size of jobs range from $5m to $300m, focusing on roads, bridges, ports, runways and airports.Analyse and compile estimate data that impact the cost of labour, materials, equipment requirements, location and other factors to ensure a high quality and timely estimates.Responsible for leading estimates, which will involve reviewing drawings, specifications and proposed project site conditions.Analyse alternative solutions and construction methods to increase competitiveness of the bid.Will be familiar with hard-bid/ design build and alternative delivery estimatesApply associated calculations and be an expert using estimating software required during advanced analytical processes to ensure logically estimated costs are accurate.Present estimate and participate in bid reviews with senior management to ensure accuracy and completeness.Key ExperienceBe competent in approach, demeanor and overall leadership ability.Proficiency in estimating software including, ProEst and PrioSoft but other programs will be welcome.Will have a background in heavy civils, ideally with experience working for a general contractor.LocationDallas, TexasSalary $140,000 - $170,000 - Attractive Benefits PositionFull TimeReference Code95455JRO
