Job DescriptionHuman Resources GeneralistThe Human Resources Generalist should be able to balance the needs of the company, employees, and operations, while maintaining compliance with HR regulations. They should also be able to build relationships and establish credibility with employees from a variety of teams and departments. The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department. Their duties include comparing HR laws to current policies and procedures, drafting templates for HR documents and working with other members of the department to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for company employees.
Responsibilities for this position include:
Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.Provides support to management and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise.Maintains knowledge of and ensures compliance with HR related activites under federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as recommended best practices.Supports the department head with the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.Administers onboarding plans and educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures and regulations.Generating official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary slips and warning letters.Maintaining physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits and attendance records.Compiling, recording, and auditing data into HRIS and approving payroll bi-weekly.Creating employee engagement plans, getting necessary budget approval and initiating activities.Coordinating professional development opportunities for employees.Evaluating employee performance and appraising their pay scale accordingly.Taking appropriate disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations.Consulting with employees and management on employee relations issues, including: conducting investigations into allegations of wrongdoing; addressing employee grievances; and resolving disputes.We’re Looking for An Individual Who Has:
Proven working experience as a recruiter, HR Analyst, HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, HR specialist, Benefits Analyst, or similar position.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Must demonstrate the ability to provide exceptional customer service.Must demonstrate ability to successfully work on a team.Must be able to clearly communicate both orally and in writing.High degree of flexibility and tolerance for change.Ability to work with a diverse group of people and customers.What is required:
Available to be onsite Monday- Friday (Not work from home).A valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation as some minor traverl may be required based upon specific property needs.What is preferred:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.One to three years of human resources management experience preferred.Previous experience in the hospitality industry a plus.PHR or SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., 40 hours a week (work schedules may vary).
