Job Title: Assembly Lead

Job Description

Maintain a quality rating above 98% and ensure on-time shipping above 90%. Provide accurate part counts and assemble products and part lists as per customer needs. Move completed jobs to the next step in job routing or shipping, accurately count and palletize products. Select the correct tooling for jobs and correct PEM nuts, studs, etc., as per print. Support actions to improve measured Quality Objectives in On Time Delivery, % Lot Yield, and % Parts Yield. Maintain responsibilities as identified in the Quality Management System documentation. Aid sales in estimating new jobs when requested to ensure jobs are properly estimated. Accurately use the plant ERP system. Stop the process if non-conformance exists and notify the Plant Manager. Provide continuous updates to the Plant Manager.

Responsibilities

Provide supervisory direction to employees in the Assembly area.

Train new employees on job processing and the safe operation of production equipment.

Organize and maintain the Assembly area.

Conduct work activity and workload at the direction of the Plant Manager.

Essential Skills

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Knowledge of blueprint reading and good math skills.

Ability to interact effectively with management, coworkers, and employees.

Understand and follow routing instructions.

Knowledge of fixtures, tools, and gauges to measure tolerances.

Mechanical skills in troubleshooting equipment to produce parts to print.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Ability to take unreadable prints or print issues to the appropriate person in warehouse and inventory control.
