Position Summary
Supports the Commercial Underwriting Organization
Primary focus on Process Improvement initiatives, Automation, driving effective Business System initiatives, and facilitating meetings
Assists department with projects or workgroups, including process improvement initiatives
Anticipates questions and formulates responses
Understands and Applies underwriting guidelines within all initiatives
Identifies training gaps and recommends appropriate course of action
Develops improvement recommendations based on complex data and root cause analysis
Advocate for change, anticipate potential objections, and communicate difficult and complex ideas with ability to drive influence and lead others to adopt a different point of view when necessary.
Leads collaboration across all parties to gain buy-in, develop solutions, and guide project team through completion
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in underwriting or Continuous Improvement project management
Advanced ability to collaborate with internal partners (ex. Sales, Actuarial)
Proficient in MS Office Suite, including, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint,MS Teams
Demonstrated success in collaborating with others to meet/exceed expectations
Demonstrated ability to utilize analytical and independent thinking skills
Demonstrated success prioritizing work and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Ability to lead process improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy
Experience identifying process improvement opportunities & proposed solutions supported by data analysis
Ability to work in the Hartford, CT office
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced understanding of underwriting process
Strong technical skills working with databases including Quickbase, PowerBI, SQL, MS Access
Ability to present within all levels of the organization
Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$66,330.00 - $145,860.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
