Remedy/Helix Developer
to join their team.
This is a remote teleworking opportunity!
A SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED TO START.
This position is a Remedy Developer role on the NESD Helix engineering team. Your duties will include:
Coordinate, research, design, develop, test, and maintain BMC Helix/Remedy software and integrated interfaces in a SAAS model.
Multi-task on projects that include customer onboarding, Developer Studio updates, data analysis and report writing/editing, automation and interfaces, and continual service improvement initiatives including building Service Offerings.
Work with our cross-functional onboarding teams to bring on additional customers to our BMC Helix/Remedy software suite.
Gather onboarding or project requirements, write technical documentation, prepare change requests, maintain and update the Production environment, and speak for the Helix team in readiness reviews.
Identify and communicate gaps between out of the box workflow and custom requirements. Work to minimize customization with out of the box recommendations.
Maintain system integrity by utilizing defined configuration control practices and change management processes.
Manage your sprint load, forecast your work products and deadlines, execute to milestones and deadlines, and keep your technical debt to a minimum.
Document requirements, implementation plans, test plans, customizations, JIRA stories, change requests, and incidents.
Communicate verbally and in written form in a professional manner with customers, peers, and leadership.
Participate in on-call rotation, sprint planning meetings, technical implementation reviews, and other requests as applicable.
Basic Qualifications:
BS degree;
additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
8+ years of BMC Remedy/Helix developer
experience specifically with BMC Accredited Administrator, Remedy/Helix Developer Studio experience and AWS GovCloud
Experience with
BMC Remedy version 20.x
or higher, ITIL methodologies, and ITSM/CMDB/DWP process flows.
Expert familiarity in one or more 20.x ITSM applications including Incident Management, Remedy Knowledge Management, Change Management, Task Management, Service Level Management, Service Request Management, Smart Reporing, Smart IT, or Digital WorkPlace Portal
Experience customizing ITSM applications and writing custom ARS workflow.
Specialize in one or more of the following: Incident Management, SmartIT, DWP, Knowledge Management, Service Level Management, Foundation Data structures and Data Import Tool, Atrium Core, and/or Smart Reporting.
Experience with one or more of the following: Pentaho Spoon, BMC HDM, RestAPI or Webservices to build and/or maintain system interfaces or migrate data.
Experience working in an
Agile project methodology
environment.
BMC Accredited Administrator or Remedy/Helix Developer Studio experience and AWS GovCloud a plus.
ITIL Foundation
a plus.
JIRA a plus, but not required.
Security+ certification
; must be able to obtain within 3 months of start.
Secret clearance
The likely salary range for this position is $106,250 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
