The candidate will be accountable to lead improvement projects from the identification of an opportunity through the sustainment phase, resolving concerns that impact our manufacturing environment.

What You Bring
This position is seeking a professional with Manufacturing Experience and the ability to apply Industrial Engineering techniques and business acumen when partnering with cross functional teams – Managers, Engineers, Professionals & Shop Floor employees
Proficiency in research, improvement, and implementation of projects that positively impact our Safety & Quality culture, schedule performance, and lower cost
Desire and technical skills to understand the design of our products, how features impact design for manufacturability, material selection, and product cost
SAP experience is desired with a demonstrated ability to evaluate drawings, line ups, BOMs and component features; this experience will be used when calculating Design for Manufacturability / financial impact
Ability to coach teams during workshops using Lean expertise
Proficiency in problem solving techniques (5-why, Fish Bone, A3, etc.), MS office, Visio to document process flow, & Excel tools such a pivot tables, Business KPIs & Operations Management
Soft Skills
Approachable, organized, active listener, clear communicator, collaborative, customer-focused
Education
BS in Industrial Engineering

Productivity & Improvement Project Team – We facilitate and lead projects across LGN (Winston-Salem, Charlotte, Fort Payne, etc.) campuses to implement effective, lasting change. We are problem solvers, project managers, educational leaders, continuous improvement experts, transformation catalysis, digitalization enthusiasts, and coaches to management and shop floor employees alike. Our role is to incorporate the strategy at every level of the organization. In partnership with partners in this manufacturing environment, we help see opportunities to improve daily operations that impact the bottom line.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
