We are looking for a Supply Chain & Procurement Lead to build and lead our procurement and supply chain functions. In this role, you will work closely with Astrolab leadership, production, manufacturing engineering, and responsible engineers to establish essential business processes, develop our supply chain, and tackle interdisciplinary challenges. You will oversee Astrolab's procurement processes, manage supply chain health, and play a key role in our growth.
What you'll do:Develop Strategic Supply Chain Plans: Build a resilient supply chain, create procurement strategies, and support the scaling of lunar rover productionManage Supplier Relationships: Identify and negotiate with key suppliers, assess their capabilities, and ensure cost-effective sourcingOptimize Procurement Processes: Implement ERP/MRP systems, manage purchase orders, and enhance inventory and cost-control measuresLead Commodity and Cost Analysis: Conduct cost assessments for sourcing decisions and align commodity strategies with business goalsCollaborate Across Teams: Provide cross-functional support on design for manufacturability and advise on procurement best practicesMentor and Build the Team: Guide buyers and planners, and help grow the procurement function to meet evolving organizational needsWhat you'll bring:
Experience: Bachelor's or master's degree and 6+ years in supply chain or procurementSupplier Sourcing: Proven experience sourcing suppliers and negotiating contracts directlyPrioritization Skills: Ability to prioritize to meet both internal customer and company needsCommunication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organizationAdaptability: Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and responsive to a fast-moving and dynamic environmentERP/MRP Experience: Experience developing and implementing ERP, MRP, and inventory solutions, ideally for startup environmentsLeadership Skills: Prior experience managing direct reports, including career development and performance managementTechnical Procurement Expertise: Direct procurement experience with sheet metal, composite lamination, raw material distribution, machined components, and mechanical assembliesFlexibility for Travel: Availability for periodic offsite field visits and travelStartup Environment Experience: Ability to excel in a lean, dynamic, and growing startup environmentWhat We Offer
