This role involves developing a member-centric sales as a service culture within the credit union, emphasizing consistency across all operations. Key responsibilities include promoting growth and cross-sell initiatives while maintaining safety and soundness standards, ensuring excellence among credit union leaders and their teams, and fostering positive relationships with various internal departments. Strong leadership and execution skills are essential for maximizing member acquisition, retention, and satisfaction while continuously improving SFCU's competitive positioning.NMLS eligibility is required; NMLS license preferred for lending activities.Reporting: On site, multiple New York branch locations.Compensation: $94,502-$118,128Benefits: SFCU offers a comprehensive benefits package including 401K, wellness benefit options, paid time off, federal holiday pay, and NYS sick time. Essential Functions & Responsibilities:Foster a high-performing, diverse team that aligns with the credit union's vision and goals, promoting a collaborative environment.Recruit, train, and motivate a diverse, growth-focused team that embodies the credit union's vision and actively drives sales and member engagement.Regularly meet with team members to monitor sales targets, provide coaching, and enhance Branch Managers' skills to consistently achieve or exceed growth metrics.Maintain accountability for KPIs related to business development, client acquisition, and revenue growth, with a focus on meeting or surpassing targets.Participate in strategic planning and ensure implementation of the credit union's regional strategies and tactics effectively to drive business growth.Address coaching and performance matters promptly, collaborating with Human Resources in line with credit union policies.Coordinate efforts across branches and with departmental leaders to ensure alignment on growth objectives and streamline processes that support business development.Monitor industry trends and competitive activities, providing insights to senior management to inform regional growth strategies and identify market opportunities.Actively participate in community activities to elevate the credit union's brand, drive member acquisition, and foster long-term business relationships.Exhibit integrity, trustworthiness, and adaptability in all interactions.Knowledge and Skills:Experience:Minimum 5 years of business development and retail leadership experience, ideally managing 5-7 retail banking branches. Proven track record of consistently achieving business growth goals and financial targets. Experience in managing, leading, and coaching professionals is essential. Comprehensive knowledge of bank products, services, and regulations preferred.Education:Five years to eight years of similar or related experience, or a Bachelor's degree in the related field. NMLS eligibility is required; NMLS license preferred for lending activities.Interpersonal Skills:A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating, influencing or training others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.Other Skills:Strong supervisory, PC (technology), compliance, leadership, written and verbal communication skills.Physical Requirements:
