Varying shifts between 9:45am and 5:30pm, 5 days per week, shifts Monday through Saturday.About this opportunity:This position is responsible for:Key responsibilities:Assists the Family Store Manager in supervising the day-to-day operations of the Family Store.Supervises and participates in the cashier activities ensuring that all customers are treated in a polite and friendly manner.Supervises and participates in maintaining the store displays; arranges, rotates, and re-stocks displayed items.What we are looking for in you:High School Diploma or G.E.D. and previous work in related field with Children and Youth.Knowledge of effective and efficient techniques for merchandising retail store items.Knowledge of effective customer service techniques.Ability to supervise, lead, and motivate the work of subordinate employees.Ability to perform frequent walking and/or standing, kneeling, or squatting relieved by lesser periods of sitting.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Duties are performed by frequent walking and/or standing, kneeling, or squatting relieved by lesser periods of sitting or operating a vehicle. Work is performed in a stock-room, warehouse, or store environment where there are discomforts associated with changes in weather; there are occasional discomforts associated with noise, crowds, dust, lint, chemical odors, and the like. Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull moderately heavy (25-50 lbs.) materials, supplies, and equipment.
