Patient Care Technician/BHT

Job Description:Will be responsible for redirecting negative behaviors, vitals, charting, walking patients to other areas as needed, etc. You will not find 2 days that will be a like which is great, must be a team player and help where needed. May be taking patients to and from groups or listening to a patient air a grievance, ect.There are 2 sides to every facility:Inpatient: this is lock down units, they consist of 4-5 patients and will have several PCT's, Peer support specialists, an RN or 2, as well as an LPN. There is no shortage of hands-on deck.Crisis: this side of the facility is more of an observation unit with 50 recliners where patients that are just coming in or are in crisis and cannot be on the unit are housed. There are MANY MANY hands-on deck here, several of every role listed in inpatient. All job titles wear different color scrubs, so they are easily identified.
