AtkinsRéalis has the depth and breadth of expertise to respond to the most technically challenging and time-critical infrastructure projects and the urgent transition to a low-carbon economy.How will you contribute to the team?Perform ITS/Traffic Engineering and design assignments of a varied nature to support federal and state agency, tolling authority, and local municipality clients.Serve as a subject-matter expert in the implementation and design of technology-based roadside systems – including CCTV cameras, dynamic message signs (DMS), vehicle detection systems, wrong-way vehicle detection systems (WWVDS), Connected Vehicle roadside units (RSU), roadway weather information systems (RWIS), Smart Work Zone (SWZ) solutions, fiber optic communications, Layer 2/3 networks, and more.Develop release for construction drawings and specifications for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), traffic signals, signing and pavement markings, lighting, safety, and maintenance of traffic for transportation projects.Review project submittals, including conceptual, preliminary, and final ITS/traffic plans. Confirm compliance with state and federal design criteria and standards. Record review comments and confirm compliance to comments with responses and subsequent submittals.Assist in performing post-design oversight such as shop drawing reviews, field visits, and construction requests for information (RFI).Perform basic project functions of production coordination, planning, organizing, and marketing assistance.Contribute expertise in advanced concepts and techniques to solve unconventional problems.Ensure work produced is technically accurate and delivered in accordance with the appropriate standards.Coordinate with internal project staff, subconsultants, and clients.What will you contribute?B.S. degree in Engineering – preferably Civil or Electrical.This level may be achieved by Engineers with four years of experience since B.S. or three years since M.S.P.E. license is required.Technical writing, computer, and communications skills required.AutoCAD or MicroStation experience required.Experience with Bluebeam and SignCAD preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required.What we offer at AtkinsRéalis:AtkinsRéalis realizes that health, mental and financial wellbeing are all equally needed to achieve balance in life.
