As we move deeper into the age of robotics, the impact of motors will only increase.With over 140,000 employees stationed worldwide, Nidec continues to be a unique organization, and each location maintains its individual personality.Job DescriptionThis role may be a great fit if you have a highly analytical background and are interested in creating a new department supporting a global Workday system.Responsibilities & DutiesThis is an ideal opportunity for a collaborative, data-driven problem solver with a proven ability to establish credibility at the executive level and across functions while driving decisions to move forward.Create a global Workday support team including configuration, integrations, security, reporting, customer service/training.Work closely with cross-functional leaders on defining global business processes and establish the model of standardization and local configuration as needed.Develop Workday Roadmap with Workday functional steering committees.Develop metrics to track progress in collaboration with Workday team and functional leaders.Assist and recommend solutions in urgent and complex business problems.Partner with the HR Leaders to run PMI on HR Data and business processes for M&A support.Significantly contribute to the development of internal resources via mentoring, coaching, and directing work.Ability to establish a support model for customer service, functional configuration, and security standards that includes a global team operating in all time zones.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities10+ years of total professional experience with growing levels of responsibility and proven track record of leading cross-functional projects.Ability to travel internationally 70% of the time during the first year in role.Given the senior-level stakeholders and varied nature of projects, you must possess exceptional qualitative & quantitative analytical problem solving, executive written & verbal communication, and project management & coordination skills.While being an expert in all Workday modules (e.g., HCM, Recruiting, Reporting, Integrations, US Benefits, US Payroll, Time and Attendance) is not required, demonstration of confidence, resourcefulness, adaptability, and flexibility is needed to effectively engage a diverse set of stakeholders to advise on customization.You must be comfortable with ambiguity and operating in a fast-paced environment with rapidly evolving priorities amongst diverse locations.Experienced data-driven problem-solver able to both delve into the details and operational tactics, and engage meaningfully on the big picture or overall strategy.Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges, with ability to be relentless and collaborative - ensuring that debates and discussions not only lead to good outcomes for all involved, but also set a positive tone for cross-functional teams.Strong interpersonal skills to interact and influence global teams, senior executives, colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third parties.Creative problem solver with a bias for action, while understanding the value of structure and balancing the need for agility and innovation within that framework.Prior experience with Workday and prior understanding of support structure for a multi-national company strongly desired.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex thoughts into simple, actionable recommendations.Additional Job DetailsEqual Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action at NidecNidec is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
